Backing up and restoring SquaredUp is relatively simple.
Backing up SquaredUp
We recommend you stop the SquaredUp application pool and then backup the entire application folder, which by default is located at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SquaredUpv5
.
If you wish you can just backup the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SquaredUpv5\User
folder, as this where your specific dashboards and settings are located. Within the User folder the Packages
folder contains your user-published dashboards, and the Configuration
folder contains your SquaredUp configuration settings.
Restoring SquaredUp
- Download and install SquaredUp.
- Log on to SquaredUp and complete the setup to configure SquaredUp, such as activating your licence. If you need an additional activation please contact SquaredUp Support.
- In IIS stop the squaredupv5 application pool.
- Restore the
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SquaredUpv5\User
folder. - Restart the squaredupv5 application pool.
If you restore to a new machine or operating system, you will need to reconfigure any API connections. API connections are encrypted, so any old connections will not be accessible because they cannot be decrypted on the new machine.
