Where to find your activation key
You need a licence activation key to install SquaredUp for SCOM. You will have received this by email following your purchase or free trial. If you do not have an activation key please contact Support.
|Trial licence||This licence allows for unlimited users and all features for a 30 day evaluation in your own environment and is available from here|
This licence should be used if you only have one SquaredUp production server, or on your first SquaredUp production server if you are configuring a multi-server / high availability environment (see Enabling High Availability).
This licence should only be used for any subsequent servers in a multi-server / high availability / load balanced environment (see Enabling High Availability).
This licence is for your test environment so that you can experiment with configuration changes and new versions without affecting production.
It is included free of charge with a purchase of the Teams, Connect and EAM editions.
The Visio tile enables you to transform Microsoft Visio diagrams into live HTML5 dashboards showing real time SCOM health state. See How to use the Visio tile.
The Web Content (iFrame) tile enables you to enrich your dashboards with data from other web pages and custom HTML. See How to use the Web Content tile.
The SQL tile enables you to display data from any external SQL database in your dashboards. See How to use the SQL tile.
The SCOM task tile allows you to display up to date in-depth data in SquaredUp without adding the data to your Data Warehouse. See How to use the SCOM Task tile.
The Azure tile allows you to add Azure App Insights and Log Analytics queries in your dashboards and perspectives. See How to use the Azure Application Insights tile and How to use the Azure Log Analytics tile.
The Web API tile allows you to use Web API (i.e. RESTful) queries in your dashboards and perspectives to automatically display contextual data from other web data sources, such as Google APIs. See How to use the Web API tile. There are also dedicated tiles for ServiceNow, Azure Application Insights and Azure Log Analytics.
Team Folders enable you to deliver dashboards and delegate control to different teams within your organisation (or to different clients if you are a service provider). See Team Folders.
Personalisation allows individual users to choose to use SquaredUp in either light theme or dark theme.
Open Access enables easy sharing of dashboards throughout your organization. Open Access allows users to view a version of the dashboard with simplified interactivity. Open Access dashboards do not require authentication and do not consume Named User licences. See Open Access.
High availability (HA) allows you to set-up SquaredUp in a load balanced configuration using your Primary licence and Secondary licence. See Enabling High Availability.
VADA is Visual Application Discovery & Analysis see What is VADA?
PowerShell-based availability monitoring allows you to use a PowerShell script to test application availability. Take a look at the webinar Advanced Application Availability Monitoring (40 mins).
End user availability reporting - The Report Availability option for Enterprise Applications allows you to manually change the health state of an application from available to either degraded or unavailable, as well as enter your own message to users. See How to manually set the health state of an application.
Named Users refers to the number of users who can log on to SquaredUp, and is restricted by the number of licences (Named Users) you have purchased. See How to manage Named Users.
