How to configure Windows authentication

With Windows authentication enabled, the browser automatically authenticates to SquaredUp using the user's Windows credentials. The user does not need to explicitly log on to the application.

Windows authentication is also known as Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA), Single Sign-On (SSO) and Pass Through Authentication.

Configuring Windows authentication requires multiple steps and can become complex if your SquaredUp deployment spans multiple servers. Please carefully read the following deployment types to choose the appropriate instructions for your environment.

SquaredUp installed on SCOM Management Server

Choose this option if SquaredUp is deployed on a SCOM management server.

If you are planning a new deployment of SquaredUp and require Windows authentication, we recommend you install SquaredUp on a SCOM management server.

SquaredUp installed on a single dedicated server

Choose this option if SquaredUp is deployed on a dedicated server (i.e. not on a SCOM management server), and is not load balanced.

Choose this option if SquaredUp is deployed on multiple, load balanced, dedicated servers.
