The activation key you have entered is incompatible with this version of Dashboard Server

Symptoms

When activating Dashboard Serveryou see the following message:

"The activation key you have entered is incompatible with this version of Dashboard Server"

Procedure

The activation key being used is not valid for the version of Dashboard Server. For example, this error occurs when using a Community Edition (CE) activation key on Dashboard Server v4. CE licenses can only be used on Dashboard Server v3.
